   I am so proud of the Garden Club of Fort Pierce and indebted to Periwinkle and Bloom for their generosity. 
Over 900 "container gardens in a box" were shipped to garden club representatives and Habitat Affiliates across the Nation, and more than 400 of these were presented to happy HFH homeowners.  What a statement!
Periwinkle and Bloom has committed to repeat their generous donations of "container gardens" in Spring 2007

"The following pictures are from the Garden Club of Ft. Pierce / Habitat for Humanity Project completed October 2006. When I attended National Convention, I signed up for the periwinkleandbloom.com offer for our club to receive plants for one house.  Plants arrived in June, but the house was not ready until 10/7/06.  Our dear Club President Anna Yanaros nurtured them all summer. Shipping of donated plants for container gardens from periwinkleandbloom.com was terrific!	Club President Anna Yanaros took plants home to arrange in containers.
After keeping the plants healthy through the long hot summer, Anna was ready to present them to the homeowners.	The Habitat Housewarming was early morning, 10-7-06
A note explained that the donations were part of a nationwide project through National Garden Clubs,	The Sheila Graham family was delighted to receive all the community efforts, especially the keys to the house!
