The
Deep South Region Scholarship Program offers
financial aid to a qualified Deep South Region
freshman (graduating high school senior), sophomore,
junior, or senior majoring in any garden or
environmental related subject and enrolled in an
accredited college or university in Alabama,
Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, or
Tennessee.
Donations and
proceeds from the Deep South Life Memberships are
applied to the Scholarship Fund, using the invested
interest income annually, if funds are available, to
provide funding for a scholarship grant of $2,000. The
annual grant is dispersed to the designated school by
August 15th.
Students
in each state are eligible to apply with
applications being sent to each
individual State's Scholarship Chairman.

The Deep South Region
Scholarship Committee will consider only one (1)
application from each state.
Each State's entry
should be sent to the Deep South Region Scholarship
Chairman, Mary W. Summerville, P.O. Box 680636, Fort
Payne, AL 35968-1607, to be received no later
than February 10, 2013.
The Scholarship
winner will be announced at the Annual Deep South
Convention.
